There is a price for everything, as all consequences, whether immediate or delayed, have a cost. It comes down to how much we are willing to pay.
There is a price for everything, as all consequences, be they instant or delayed, have a cost. It comes down to how much we are willing to pay.
Not being aware that every act, thought, and state has a cost is denial. Yet, we do it, think it and make compromises.
Instant gratification.
And then, someday, the true cost of that instant gratification comes due, most likely compounded and, depending on the initial act, for better or worse.
Excercise today or get decrepive later.
Eat clean today or buy bigger pants later.
Fix that noise in the car now or have to get a new one later at more money.
Fix that leak now or repair the water damage later.
Go to bed now or pay the price in the morning.
Make that phone call now; tomorrow that person may not be around.
