Intentions Do Not Matter

Intentions do not matter; action does!

Good intentions without action is what this man looks dejected
Good intentions matter if you act on them, if not, sitting on a park bench may be the alternative

Intentions do not matter; action does.

So many people carry the best intentions in the world, yet wait until tomorrow, until the New Year, or until the cows come home to make a move.

Behavioural research shows an 84% intention-behaviour gap when major life and financial transitions are deferred—meaning the vast majority of "someday" plans never happen at all unless action is taken immediately.

It comes down to two choices: pay the price now, or pay a much higher price later. Make no mistake—there will be a price. Paying the price now requires discipline and decisive choice; paying it later brings regret and forced decisions.

When it comes down to major life choices, we only get one shot at this.

Don't spend it sitting on the sidelines waiting for the "perfect" moment. Take control today, and pay the smaller price of discomfort now, or later, when the discomfort becomes pain and disappointment.
