Why Hope Is Not a Strategy Is Poor Advice
There is a vast difference between hope and wishing. In business, 'hope is not a strategy' is used frequently to downgrade one's optimism.
There is a vast difference between hope and wishing. In business, 'hope is not a strategy' is used frequently to downgrade one's optimism.
For example: "I hope we have a great year". Or, " I hope to do X in sales in May".
Or in general: "I hope the weather is good next weekend" And so on.
To me, hope is something I have control over and I can take actions to get the results I want. It gives me optimism.
As long as I take action or stop something that is not in my best interests, there is always hope!
But, to be passive and wish, not for me!
